RAP inaugurates second training session on combating cyber crimes

Manama, May 31 (BNA): Commander of the Royal Academy of Police (RAP) Colonel Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa inaugurated the second training session on combating cyber crimes in the Middle East and North Africa which is organised by RAP in cooperation with the International Crime Police Organisation (INTERPOL) from May 31 to June 4 at RAP premises. Participants from the Interior Ministry, Bahrain Defence Force, eGovernment Authority and the GCC countries are taking part in the event. RAP Commander emphasised the need for cooperation in all security fields and in fighting cyber crimes. On his part, representative of the INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation Abdullah Jassim Al-Sayed thanked RAP and the National Central Bureau for organising the session, pointing out that cyber crimes have become one of the hardest crimes to tackle, being cross-centinental.
