Khalifa Foundation begins distributing winter aid to Syrian refugees in Lebanon

BEIRUT, 22ndFebruary, 2016 (WAM) -- The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation will tomorrow begin the second phase of its campaign, "UAE Response to Syrian Families and Affected Lebanese" in Lebanon. The move follows the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. An official source in the Khalifa Foundation said that 3,500 families will benefit from the aid which is implemented by the foundation within the framework of its campaign for winter, 2016. The distribution of the aid will be overseen by the UAE Embassy in Beirut under the follow-up of Hamad Mohammed Al Junaibi, UAE Acting Charge d'Affaires at UAE Embassy in Lebanon.
