TVTC Fifth Saudi Technical Conference & Exhibition to start

Riyadh, January 10, SPA -- Under the patronage of The Custodian of
the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Dr Ghazi
Abdulrahman Al-Gosaibi will patronize the inauguration ceremony of
the Fifth Saudi Technical Conference and Exhibition tomorrow at king
Faisal Hall in Riyadh.

On the occasion, the Governor of the Technical and Vocational
Training Corporation TVTC, Dr. Ali al-Ghafees, on behalf of himself,
the Organization's personnel and researchers in the technical and
training fields, expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his approval to hold this
conference. He expressed gratitude for the royal care rendered to the
conference which comes in line with the generous support to the
Organization's programs.

The governor clarified that holding the conference, with the royal
attention, reflects the increasing care to nationalizing technology,
developing manpower resources, and encouraging and supporting
initiatives that aim to re-planning training's programs in order to
achieve requirements of developments and their actual needs.

Dr. Ali al-Ghafees added that this scientific and technological
showcase proves that our country is moving on the right track. He
emphasized that shifting our ambition from being a
technology-consuming country to the level of advanced technology
producing countries can be achieved through hard work and tangible
desire. He pointed that this grand conference will support these
achievements through technical papers discussed at the conference, as
well as discussions between specialists, researchers and academics,
in addition to scientific researches that will be presented in
various fields of developing technology in the country. Dr. Ali
al-Ghafees pointed out that the conference, organized by the
Organization for the fifth time, aims to review pioneering modern
developments and international experience which assist in improving
vocational and technical training; and to discuss the training
development strategies in light of economic and social changes that
occurred in the work market. It will also shed light on developments
in the training and educational sectors, exchange expertise and
enhance relations between vocational and technical training
organization and the public and private work sectors.

he conference also aims to encourage scientific research in
technology fields, such as the electronic and electrical machines,
information and communication, mechanical technology, industrial
production.

The conference will concentrate on two main axels. The first will
concern technical and vocational training, pertaining to creating job
opportunities, unemployment, globalization effect on training, and
strategies, in addition to quality of training programs, creativity
and innovation. The second will concentrate on engineering and
technical researches, such as power systems, electric machines,
electronic technology, communication, IT, computing, mechanical
technology, industrial production, and construction technology in
addition to administrative, technical, environmental, chemical and
architectural facilities. The conference will coincide with an
exhibition that will preview outstanding employment and training
programs in the Kingdom. It will show the latest advanced
technologies in the vocational and engineering specialties, as well
as the latest trainers' projects of the Organization's units. A
number of private sectors will also participate.
