Crown Prince meets Russian ambassador

Manama, March 8 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Vagif Garaev, at Gudaibiya Palace. His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of building on the successful outcomes of His Majesty King Hamad’s visit to Russia in February, during which His Majesty met Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss Bahraini-Russian relations and a number of bilateral agreements. His Royal Highness welcomed the continued expansion of cooperation and coordination between Bahrain and Russia, and noted both countries’ shared interests in maintaining security and stability within the region and continuing to combat extremist ideologies. In response, the Russian Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, and emphasised his keenness to further enhance bilateral ties in light of the positive outcomes of His Majesty’s visit to Russia.
