Yemeni citizens hails UAE's relief aid

ABYAN, 8th May, 2016 (WAM) -- Yemeni citizens in Abyan and Al-Houta provinces in the Lahij Governorate, have extended thanks and appreciation to the UAE's leadership, government and people for their continuous support to Yemen, especially the continued humanitarian and relief aid provided by the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC). Earlier, the ERC launched a campaign to distribute 10,500 food baskets to the Yemeni citizens in these areas to alleviate their humanitarian suffering. They also confirmed that the relief aid distributed by the ERC in Zanzibar Directorate, Khanfar, Al Houta and other areas arrived at the right time since the people in these areas were witnessing dire living conditions. Some 6,500 families benefited from the assistance across the governorate.
