UAE launches biggest camel racetrack in Africa at Tan-Tan Moussem Festival

TAN-TAN, MOROCCO, 19th May, 2016 (WAM) -- The UAE is continuing its participation in the 12th session of the Tan-Tan Moussem Festival in Morocco, which is being held under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco. The third day of the event was marked by the launch of the largest camel racetrack in Africa, 4 kilometres square, for camel racing with the support and contribution of the Emirates Camel Racing Federation. The first camel racing event at the festival was organised under the supervision of Abdullah Al Muhairi, Director of the Emirates Camel Racing Federation, and Fadhel Biniesh, Chairman of the organising institution of the Tan-Tan season, featuring 100 camels from various tribes from the Moroccan desert.
