Extraordinary Meeting of OIC Parliamentarians opens 2 Istanbul

In a key address, Dr. Homaid said that this meeting is held today at
a time that the world sees and hears the brutal massacres perpetrated
by the Zionist enemy against our defenseless brothers and people in
Gaza Strip, though they are demanding the most simplist basic human
rights.

He stressed that this flagrant and relentless aggression,
leading to hundreds of dead innocent civilians and thousands wounded,
spreading the destruction, terror and panic in the hearts of
Palestinian women, children and the elderly, will add to the record
of injustice, authoritarianism, oppression and brutality of the
history of Israel.

Dr. Homaid also described what happens in Gaza Strip as a
Holocaust and genocide committed in broad daylight, a flagrant
violation of human rights and international charters and conventions,
and an organized state terrorism against the defenseless people of
Gaza Strip. He cited the massacre of UNRWA's Alfakhoria School as
evidence before the whole world, regardless of demolition of other
mosques, schools and universities, claiming hundreds of thousands of
martyrs and wounded.
HE added that this brutal and barbaric Israeli practice
only fuels the strength and struggle of the Palestinian people to
gain full rights, including the establishment of their independent
and sovereign state with Al-Quds as its capital.
He appealed to all the leaders of the Palestinian factions
to go beyond their differences, suggesting that this is the only way
to evade sedition.
He reminded them of Makkah meeting where they reached
understanding and unity.
