Minister of Culture and Information patronizes symposium on

Jeddah, January 15, SPA--The Minister of Culture and Information
Iyad bin Amin Madani patronized here on Wednesday a symposium on
media studies in the Kingdom titled "Present Challenges and Future
Aspirations" organized by Okaz Establishment for Journalism and
Publication.

A speech ceremony was held on this occasion.
Addressing the symposium, the Minister of Culture and Information
welcomed participants in the symposium, pointing to a new
organization carried out by the Ministry in coordination with the
Arab League to organize the work of broadcastings and to promote the
professional level of the Arab media.
He added that the Ministry of Culture and Information has
licensed approximately 1800 advertising agencies in the Kingdom and
it is in the process of classifying them in the near future in
addition to more than 2000 periodicals which have been published in
the Kingdom under the supervision of the ministry.
