Minister of Culture and Information patronizes symposium on

The Minister of Culture and Information pointed out that there are
500 satellite channels, including 400 specialized channels that
should be regulated.

He noted that a coordination has recently begun to organize the work
of Media Studies, adding that he was invited almost two months ago by
the Egyptian Minister of Information to a specialized symposium which
called for a solution for inaccurate media studies, the discussion of
the problems pertaining to them and the ways of solving them in the
near future.

The symposium was also addressed by the Establishment's Director
General Walid Qattan.

Then the symposium's activities started by the presentation of
working papers in this regard.
