Emirates Red Crescent re-opens health centre in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, 17th August 2016 (WAM) --- The Emirates Red Crescent has re-opened a health centre in al-Oyoun village in Ghail Bawazir town, Hadramout governorate, as part of its development projects aimed at improving the humanitarian conditions of the population. The ERC has so far handed over five health centres to the local authorities after renovating them and providing all necessary medical equipment. Director of the al-Oyoun Health Centre, Juwaid Abdullah Basloum, thanked the ERC for restoring infrastructure in the governorate where the population has been suffering from worsening services and the spread of diseases and pollution. Al-Oyoun is an isolated area with a population of 5000 people who have to travel about 250 kilometres from their isolated village to the city of Mukalla, the capital of the Hadramout, whenever they need health services, he explained. - Emirates News Agency, WAM - http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395298863442.html
