International Scientific Symposium Held

Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- An international scientific symposium for marking the 70th anniversary of Kim Il Sung University was held between Sept. 29 and 30. The symposium held under the theme of "Scientific development and social progress" heard hundreds of scientific and technical papers of academic value and practical significance conducive to the social progress of mankind. An opening ceremony was held at the university on Sept. 29. The symposium was divided into panels of social politics, economy and finance, literature, history, linguistics, mathematics, physics, life and environmental science. It closed on Friday. A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the closing ceremony. The university gave a reception in honor of the participants in the international scientific symposium. -0-
