This photo features "water-moon avalokiteshvara," a highly rare Buddhist painting of the Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392), donated to the National Museum of Korea on Oct. 17, 2016. Yoon Dong-han, CEO of Kolmar Korea, bought the work from a Japanese private collector last year and decided to donate it. The painting depicts bodhisattva Kwanum sitting on a rock, surrounded by water. Only 46 of its kind from the era are believed to be left around the globe. (Yonhap) (END)
