Geographical Information Systems Introduced in DPRK

Pyongyang, November 9 (KCNA) -- Kim Il Sung University of the DPRK developed new applied geographical information systems, which have been recently introduced to various economic sectors of the country, proving effective. They include an information system for managing forest resources on a nationwide scale, a land information system and a communications business aid system. Those geographical information systems are now enjoying popularity in agriculture, land and environment protection and other fields. -0-
