US Ambassador To Baghdad: Peshmerga Would Withdraw From All The Liberated Areas After Liberating Mosul

BAGHDAD / NINA / US ambassador to Iraq, Douglas Silliman said "The Peshmerga forces will withdraw from all the liberated areas after the end of the process of Mosul."
Silliman in a press statement in Arbil expressed confident that the Peshmerga forces will withdraw from all territories outside the Kurdistan region of Iraq, which had been stationed before the liberalization of Nineveh operations."
He said "his country will continue to provide support to the government in Baghdad and the Kurdistan Regional Government against Daesh terrorist" calling on "the Kurdish parties to resolve the problems between them through dialogue."
Silliman added that "the international community will focus, during the coming period, on Daesh crimes especially the suffering of Yazidis."
The President of Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani, met the US ambassador to Iraq, Douglas Silliman and his accompanying delegation yesterday, who expressed his country's appreciation for Barzani because of the close coordination and cooperation between the Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi army, wishing this coordination and cooperation to be the basis for strategic relations between the KRG and Baghdad in the security field in the area".
Barzani expressed "satisfaction with the cooperation between the Peshmerga and the Iraqi army, where such cooperation is a major cause of achieving a lot of victories."
The two sides also touched on the phase that will follow the defeat and expulsion of Daesh from Mosul, security and political developments, and relations between Erbil and Baghdad," ./ end
