KCNA Commentary Urges U.S. to Swim with Trend of Times

Pyongyang, November 20 (KCNA) -- The analyses and reviews of the U.S. policy towards the DPRK made by American media and experts on Korean affairs are drawing the attention of the international community. Some U.S. media such as NK News, Google News and Reddit said that the instructions given by Marshal Kim Jong Un to commanding officers to round off the combat preparations when inspecting frontline units once again indicated his resolution not to dismantle his country's nukes and commented that north Korea's nuclear weapons can never be a bargaining chip for the U.S. There took place a lecture in south Korea on Nov. 14 where the former U.S. Secretary of Defense Perry said that north Korea should not be viewed in the eyes of the U.S. but be taken at face value, adding that the latter should not expect north Korea to dismantle its nukes but it is necessary to make sustained efforts for negotiating with the former to minimize the danger of its nukes. The keynote of their comments urges the U.S. to stop pursuing its outdated hostile policy towards the DPRK but reshape it as required by the trend of the times and the developing situation. The DPRK emerged a full-fledged nuclear weapons state possessed of even H-bomb in order to defend its sovereignty and the vital rights of the nation from the U.S. policy of aggression against it and its nuclear threat and blackmail which have lasted for several decades. No force on earth can force the DPRK to dismantle its self-defensive nuclear deterrence. As long as the U.S. nuclear threat and arbitrary practices persist, the DPRK has no option but to dramatically bolster up its defence capability with nuclear deterrence as its pivot. The U.S. would be well advised to properly face up to the trend of the times and behave itself. -0-
