Seminar of Korean Social Scientists in Japan

Pyongyang, February 22 (KCNA) -- Korean social scientists in Japan held a seminar at the Korean Hall in Tokyo on Feb. 18 to celebrate the 75th birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il. Present there were Kim Song Hun, director of the Department for Publicity and Culture of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Chairman Ri Yong Su and members of the Korean Social Scientists Association in Japan, leading officials of Chongryon organizations and enterprises, teachers and students of Korean University and Chongryon officials and compatriots in Kanto. At the seminar, speakers noted that respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un at the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea called for holding fast to the general line of socialist construction and the self-development-first spirit as the eternal strategic line and set the building of a sci-tech power as an important target to be hit on a priority basis in building a socialist power. They said that the DPRK would further enhance its international influence and develop the external relations on its own initiative and in a diverse way. -0-
