GM Daewoo's vehicle sales plunge 50.5 pct in Jan.

SEOUL, Feb. 2 (Yonhap) -- GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co., the South Korean unit
of U.S. automaker General Motors Corp., said Monday its vehicle sales plunged
50.5 percent last month amid slumping demand at home and overseas.

GM Daewoo sold 45,842 vehicles in January, the company said in statement.
Domestic sales fell 20.4 percent to 6,914 units and exports plummeted 53.6
percent to 38,928 units.
