N. Korea's missile launch would violate U.N. resolution: Seoul

SEOUL, Feb. 5 (Yonhap) -- North Korea's missile launch, if conducted, would
violate two U.N. resolutions adopted after its long-range missile launch and
nuclear experiment two years ago, South Korea's foreign ministry said Thursday.
"If North Korea fires a missile, it would clearly violate the U.N. resolutions,"
ministry spokesman Moon Tae-young said. Intelligence officials here said the
secretive nation appears to be gearing up for another test of its advanced
missile.
"The U.N. Security Council expressed worries over North Korea's missile program
and sent a clear message by adopting Resolution 1695 and Resolution 1718 in
2007," he said.
In particular, Resolution 1718 calls for the North to abide by its moratorium on
all of its missile programs, Moon added.
