Clinton to visit S. Korea Feb. 19-20
SEOUL, Feb. 5 (Yonhap) -- U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will visit
South Korea from Feb. 19-20 after traveling to Japan and Indonesia, a diplomatic
source said Thursday.
"Secretary Clinton plans to hold talks with Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan and
pay a courtesy call on President Lee Myung-bak during her two-day stay," the
source said.
Clinton and Yu will discuss major alliance issues and ways to cooperate on global
agenda items, including Afghanistan and the financial crisis, the source added.
She is expected to visit Japan from Feb. 16-17, followed by a trip to Indonesia
from Feb. 18-19, the source said.
She is also likely to travel to China in her first Asian tour as top U.S. diplomat.
