U.S. House Armed Services Committee members to visit S. Korea

SEOUL, Feb. 6 (Yonhap) -- Lawmakers of the U.S. House Armed Services Committee
are scheduled to visit South Korea later this month to meet President Lee
Myung-bak and their Korean counterparts to exchange views on strengthening
bilateral security and diplomatic ties, parliamentary officials said Friday.

The 11-member U.S. delegation, to be led by Chairman Ike Skelton, is scheduled to
arrive in Seoul on Feb. 18 for a three-day visit, officials at the National
Assembly's National Defense Committee (NDC) said.
The group is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on President Lee on Feb. 19 and
meet with Kim Hak-song, chairman of the NDC, the officials said.
