New High-Yielding Seed Bean Cultivated in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 17 (KCNA) -- The Institute of Agricultural Science in the DPRK recently cultivated new high-yielding seed bean and distributed it to farms throughout the country. The seed bean agrees with the climatic and soil conditions of the country and is high in per-hectare yield and ecologically stable. It can be cultivated as main crop in all bean-growing lands south of east coastal Pukchong area and west coastal Jongju area. And it is 1.2-1.3 times higher than other seed beans in per-hectare yield and can be planted as a later crop or a catch crop. -0-
