GOVERNMENT OBSTACLES TO BUSINESSES TO BE ELIMINATED LEGITIMATELY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ 478 licenses out of 914, that are equired to be obtained by business entities were cancelled to support businesspeople through reducing barriers and red tape and the issue will be improved further by passing a law on Special license, said Minister of Justice and Home Affairs S.Byambatsogt.
Today, the minister attended “Business breakfast” organized by Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, sharing his views with businessmen on legal environment of businesses and pressing issues.
Minister S.Byambatsogt noted that businessmen and private sector’s opinion and proposals will be heard for amendments to over 200 laws, which included in the Basic Guidelines of Legislation Improvement. Keeping legal environment stable and sustaining government participation or interference in economy and businesses at a proper level are on the government attention, when amending some 40 laws in the first place, he said.
The Minister also mentioned that law on legislation, which took effect in January 2017, restricts developing legislation unruly and it will effect have positive effect on the business and investment environment as well as law on Arbitration, approved in the end of last year gives businessmen a possibility to solve arguments without applying to court and wasting time and money. “-In law enforcement, the current Government pursues a policy to back and counsel citizens and businessmen rather than penalize or punish, and the goals are reflected in recently-approved Criminal Code and Offence law” he said.
