HM King returns home following participation in Riyadh summits

Manama, May 21 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa returned home from Saudi Arabia where he took part in the 17th consultative summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) leaders.
HM the King also headed Bahrain’s delegation to the GCC-US summit and to the Arab-Islamic-American summit in response to an invitation from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
King Hamad was welcomed in Bahrain by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
Upon his departure from Riyadh, King Hamad sent a message to King Salman thanking him for the gracious welcome and generous hospitality that reflected the strong bonds between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
“The outcomes of these significant summits will have the best effects on deepening the partnership and relations between the GCC countries and the US on various levels,” HM the King said. “They will also establish a new partnership to combat violence, extremism and terrorism and to confront all regional and international threats and challenges in a manner that consolidates security and peace and deepens positive interactions across the world for the sake of the present and future of our countries and people.”
HM the King expressed his appreciation of King Salman’s constant care for the benefit of the GCC countries and his noble endeavours to settle crises, address problems facing the international community and reinforce bonds among nations to secure peace and stability for all peoples.
