Seoul shares trade 0.29 pct lower in late morning
SEOUL, Feb. 13 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded 0.29 percent lower late
Friday morning as foreign and institutional investors unloaded tech stocks,
analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) dipped 3.38 points to
1,183.22 as of 11:20 a.m.
"The KOSPI traded in a narrow range on foreign and institutional investors' sale
of local stocks," said Park Suk-hyun, an analyst at Eugene Investment &
Securities Co. "But as Asian markets are trading in positive territory, the Seoul
bourse may gain some ground in late trading."
Foreign investors continued their selling spree of local stocks for the fourth
straight session.
The local currency was trading at 1,401.9 won to the U.S. dollar as of 11:20
a.m., up 2.1 won from Thursday's close.
