Doctor awarded for hard work in remote area

SONGKHLA, Aug 2 (TNA) – A female doctor won an award for her exemplary professional services and outstanding contributions to patients in a rural area of the southern province of Songkhla. The award presentation for the prominent doctor was held as part of an annual academic conference at Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkhla University on Wednesday. Doctors, medical students and personnel from 14 southern provinces attended the seminar to exchange knowledge on medical care and innovation. even though she herself has been suffered from an autoimmune disease, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) for more than 10 years. This year, Dr Naphat Phaepon, a female doctor who works at Somdej Phraborom Rachineenat Hospital in Na Thawi district of Songkhla was selected by a sub-committee for her contribution to treat patients and also do her best to raise their quality of life. The doctor donated all cash award to the fund for the construction of the Faculty’s new building to accommodate poor patients and relatives of patients at Prince Songklanagarind Hospital. (TNA)
