Seoul shares up 0.09 pct in late morning

SEOUL, Feb. 16 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks advanced 0.09 percent late Monday
morning as large-cap shares posted gains, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) gained 1.11 points to
1,193.55 as of 11:20 a.m.

Market leader Samsung Electronics and other large caps rose as foreign and retail
investors hunted for bargains, they said.
The local currency was trading at 1,407.7 won to the U.S. dollar as of 11:20
a.m., up 3.5 won from Friday's close.
