Indonesia Beats Timor Leste 1-0

JAKARTA, Aug 21 (Antara) - The under-22 Indonesian soccer team defeated the squad of Timor Leste 1-0 at the third match of group B of the South East Asian Games (SEAG) 2017 in the Majlis Perbandaraan MP Selayang stadium, Malaysia, Sunday. The only goal for the Indonesian soccer team (Timnas U-22) was created through a header of the striker Marinus Mariyanto in the 21st minute, according to the website of the All-Indonesia Football Association (PSSI). In the fight against Timor Leste, coach of the Timnas, Luis Milla rotated the players of his squad and fielded Osvaldo Haay, Febri Hariyadi, Hanif Sjahbandi, Gavin Kwan and Marinus Mariyanto, who were reserved when it faced the Philippines, since the first minute. In the 19th minute, a header of Osvaldo Haay still floated over the goalkeeper of Timor Leste. In the 21st minute, Marinus Mariyanto managed to change the cross from Septian David into a goal with his header. The victory over Timor Leste made Indonesia temporarily sits at the top of Group B with seven points of one draw and two wins in three matches.
