Hato to bring more rain to Thailand’s upper part

BANGKOK, Aug 24 (TNA) – Tropical storm, Hato is likely to bring more rain to the upper part of Thailand in the next 24 hours, the Thai Meteorological Department said on Thursday. A thunderstorm is likely in about 70 per cent of Bangkok and surrounding areas in the afternoon until night. Tropical storm Hato, centered in China’s Nanning is heading westward with speed of 18 knots or 35 km/hr. The storm is forecast to downgrade as tropical depression and will decline to low-pressure system over southern China near northern border of Laos and upper Vietnam within two days. It is likely to affect upper Thailand with more rainfall. The weather department advised travelers to keep abreast of the weather update. (TNA)
