Exhibition on late King to be displayed

BANGKOK, Aug 26 (TNA) -- Ministry of Foreign Affairs is preparing to display an exhibition of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej at 70 Thai consulates and a city state, said a spokeswoman of the ministry. Spokeswoman Busadee Santipitak, also director-general of the Ministry’s Information Department, said her department has been assigned to prepare for the exhibition showing his deeds for the country and the Thais as well as his visits to oversea, aimed at strengthening relations between Thailand and those nations. Ms Busadee said the exhibition will be displayed in two languages - Thai and English - and it will be in two parts. The first part will be shown at consulates in 28 countries and at a city state where His Majesty the late King visited. The second part will be displayed at consulates in 42 countries which he had not visited. The exhibition boards will be dispatched to consulates in those 70 countries and a city state between late August and September, she said. The Royal cremation ceremony will be held on October 26.
