Commerce Ministry moves to develop grassroots businesses

BANGKOK, Aug 27 (TNA) - In an attempt to further develop grassroots businesses, the Commerce Ministry has organised several events aimed at assisting them to expand business links with Thailand’s neighbouring countries. Businessmen in the East and Central regions organised the ‘Chanthaburi: Thailand Product Expo 2017’ at an exhibition hall in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh last week. The objective of the Expo was aimed at giving an opportunity to small and medium sized enterprises to hold business matching with their Cambodian counterparts. Initially, a total of four agreements were made while several businessmen from both countries agreed to further develop products for selling in the Cambodian market. Thai products such as herbal products, cosmetics and processed fruits received interests from Cambodians who visited the exhibition hall. Thai products sold there during the four-day exhibition totaled 15 million baht. (TNA)
