15th anniversary of Commission on human rights
Shymkent, 17 February 2009, (Khabar) - During these years this institution managed to help many Kazakhstani citizens. For example, Commission on human rights helped the family with 6 children, the Yusanovs from Southern Kazakhstan. Sabyrzhan and Dilrabo lived in the flat area of which 30 square meters. After long hesitation they decided to sell the flat and move from Shymkent to the village. The money was enough to buy a land lot in Mashat ravine. The Yusanovs thought the deserted rest zone will become home and source of income for them and they rented area. But the leaser decided to appropriate the land and brought suit against the owners.
Sabyrzhan Yusanov:
- I can’t say all the decisions were not fair, some of them were in our favor as we had legal documents but some officials supported them despite they had forged documents and issue was settled in their favor.
12 trials were held during two years on this case and last winter the family was moved from their area. The Yusanovs had to live in a car for several days. The problem was solved only after Commission on human rights interfered into this matter.
Tastemir Abishev, secretary of Commission on human rights under the President of RK:
- In case of mother with many children, Yusanova, the second side presented forged documents and we prepared the conclusion and thank Supreme Court for restoration of rights of mother with many children for her property.
Dilrabo Yusanova:
- I am very frateful to them as they helped us and did much for us. I am calm because good people exist in our country that would not citizens to suffer.
Now the Yusanovs live calmly and try not to recollect problems and build plans for future.
