Ayutthaya ready for special cabinet meeting
AYUTTHAYA, Sept 6 (TNA) -- Ayutthaya governor assures that his province is ready to host a cabinet meeting on Sept 19 and receive ministers’ arrival to follow up local development projects including water management.
Ayutthaya governor Sujin Chaichumsak said the delegation of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha would arrive in Ayutthaya from Suphan Buri province in the afternoon of Sept 18. Then the prime minister will inspect a water retention area in the Thung Ban Paen field of Sena district where local rice growers agree to let the government divert excessive water from Chao Phraya and Noi rivers into their paddy fields.
The governor said that in return water from the river would kill pests and add nutrients to the paddy fields.
On Sept 19, the prime minister will visit the Ayutthaya Historical Park. Then he will chair the cabinet meeting at the Hantra Campus of Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi.
The cabinet will discuss the progress of local development projects including the Second Chao Phraya project and logistic connectivity projects such as motorway and expressway extension to Ayutthaya. (TNA)
