Royal crematorium to be opened to public in Nov

BANGKOK, Sept 11 (TNA) - The royal crematorium of His Majesty late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and related structures will be opened to the public throughout November after the completion of the royal funeral ceremony in October. Culture Minister Veera Rojpojchanarat presided over the meeting of the sub-committee on the management of the late King funeral exhibition. He said the meeting agreed that the public will be allowed to admire the beauty of the royal crematorium, related building at Sanam Luang ceremonial ground and the exhibition zone on Nov 1-30 from 7am-10 pm. The replica of the royal crematorium will be built for the blind to touch while they are listening to the narration. Three million pamphlets in Thai will be published to give information in details about the royal funeral and the royal pyre while those in English and Chinese will be available but the number of copies has not yet been concluded. It is expected 100,000 visitors daily and shuttle buses will be offered from BTS skytrain stations and MRT subway stations to Sanam Luang. All details will be wrapped at the main committee meeting to be chaired by Gen Deputy Prime Minister Gen Tanasak Patimapragorn on Sept 13 at the national museum. (TNA)
