Interpol posts arrest notice for fugitive Red Bull heir on its website
BANGKOK, Sept 12 (TNA) – Interpol posted on its website the red notice for Red Bull heir, Vorayuth Yoovidhya or Boss, wanted for a hit and run incident in Bangkok, killing a police officer on duty in 2012.
The red notice displays his photos in different hairstyles, saying he is wanted by the Judicial Authorities of Thailand on charges including reckless driving causing the death of another person.
After the international police network issued the arrest notice in August, the "red notice'' for Mr Vorayuth has recently posted to the public on Monday.
The red notice is a worldwide request to find and provisionally arrest an individual, pending extradition.
In Thailand, the statute of limitations of three minor charges against the 35-year-old billionaire heir has already expired. The last remaining charge — causing death by reckless driving — has another 10 years to run. This charge is punishable with a jail term of up to 10 years and a fine of up to Bt20,000.
Vorayuth allegedly drove his Ferrari into a motorcycle of a Thonglor traffic policeman on patrol duty early morning. The car sped off, leaving the officer to die at the scene. (TNA)
