Ton Nga Chang national park closed for three days after storm
SONGKHLA, Sept 13 (TNA) – The Ton Nga Chang national park in Songkhla announced a temporary closure of the Ton Nga Chang waterfall for three days after severe damage by a storm yesterday.
About 20 minutes of the thunder storm and strong wind felled about 30 large trees, some of which aged over 100 years. The big trees collapsed on buildings of the park offices, power poles, causing a blackout.
Three cars of tourists were also damaged but no one was wounded in the incident. About 100 officials are working to clear the debris and electricity system is being repaired.
It is expected to take about three days for the clean-up before the waterfall can be reopened for tourists. (TNA)
