Thailand wins four PATA Gold Awards

BANGKOK, Sept 16 (TNA) – Thailand wins four awards from the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) for its tourism promotion advertisements, corporate social responsibility and tourism promotion book. On behalf of Thailand, Yuthasak Supasorn, governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), received the Gold Awards in the PATA Travel Mart 2017 event at The Venetian, Macao Resort Hotel in Macau. Two of the four awards came from TAT’s corporate social responsibility project named “Village to the World” that won PATA’s CSR award and the “Blue Paradise Thailand” book that obtained PATA’s Travel Journalism-Travel Guidebook award. The other two awards went to the Thai private sector. Elephant Hills Luxury Tented Camps received the Environment - Ecotourism Project award and Muay Thai Live Bangkok Thai Show 2013 Co got the Heritage and Culture award. Macau Government Tourist Office has organised the PATA Gold Awards to promote outstanding tourism-related products and give moral support to the tourism sector in Asia. Seventy-seven tourism-related organisations proposed 220 entries to vie for the awards this year. (TNA)
