Thai startup winner to join accelerator program in Jerusalem

BANGKOK, Sept 18 (TNA) - The Israeli embassy in Thailand held the Entrepreneurs Startup Competition to select Thai startup entrepreneurs to join an accelerator programme in Jerusalem. Ten Thai startup teams competed under the theme “Start Jerusalem 2017”. They submitted their mobile application entries and presented their works in the competition such as an application for sourcing textile for clothing businesses, an application for buying fruit from growers directly or for fundraising to start a business. Chiiwii Live team, initiating the application for giving health advice for women won the contest. The application will allow women to seek medical advice from health experts conveniently regardless of time and distance. The winning team was invited to participate in a unique accelerator program for new technology companies, which will expose the participants to the innovative, vibrant hi-tech environment in Israel. The Thai team will join their peers from 30 countries in a field trip to Jerusalem and will attend a workshop to create connection among them and to learn from leading startup entrepreneurs in Israel. Eden Pozin, Head of Economic and Trade Mission, Israeli Embassy said the programme offers opportunities for startups worldwide to exchange their ideas and experience in the fields, which will inspire them to further develop their businesses.
