MADE IN RUSSIA EXPO KICKS OFF

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In frames of the Mongolia-Russia Cooperation 2017 forum co-organized by the Parliament and Government of Mongolia, as well as Federal Council of Russian Federation, Made in Russia 2017 expo opened at Misheel Expo Center on October 3. Over 60 Russian companies engaged in construction, construction material production, cutting-edge innovative technology, food production and tourism are participating in the expo, which is expected to continue until October 5. These companies have gathered from around twenty Russian major cities. Russia was Mongolia’s trading partner for long years. For instance, when Ulaanbaatar city was first established, the city was built using Russian construction materials and equipment, said G.Munkhbayar, Acting Minister of Construction and Urban Development, at the opening ceremony of the expo. He added that around a year ago, our business entities held ‘Made in Mongolia’ expo in Russia. Regularizing these trade fairs and organizing them near the border checkpoint is crucial. For Russian entities to export their products to Mongolia, difficulties, such as customs tax, are relatively low. Therefore, it is important for us to settle these issues during expo, forum and meeting. By doing so, not only does the major business entities will be given opportunities, but also individuals and SMEs will be able to exchange their products as well. "We have much to learn from Russia. For example, one of the participants in today’s expo “Rosa” LLC. This company manufactures water purifier that enables 80 percent of the water to be reused. Recently, our country started focusing on reusing water in recent years. Which is why, private entities and administrative of City Governor’s Office should cooperate with these entities that are introducing advanced technology," he said. S.V.Kalashnikov, First Deputy Chairman of Committee on Economic Policy of Russian Federation, informed the foreign trade circulation between Mongolia and Russia has been constantly reducing in recent years. Today’s expo and Mongolia-Russia Cooperation 2017 aim to regain foreign trade and overpass the previous achievement. "Within the cooperation between the two countries, tax issues always pop up. Our tax policy does not accord with other policies. Therefore, Mongolia and Russia need to take other regulative actions to conduct successful foreign trade," said S.V.Kalashnikov. B.Tugsbilig
