MONGOLIAN AND UKRAINIAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEES SIGNED MOU

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On October 14, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by D. Zagdsuren, President of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MNOC), and S.N. Bubka, Senior Vice President of the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF), President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine and the Honorary Member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Visiting these days to Mongolia, Sergey Bubka told press, “Mongolia is ranked higher in the world with its judo, freestyle wrestling and boxing sports. Achievements in Olympic Games depend on many factors, including delicate management and science-based training. As a member of the IOC, I appreciate initiatives and actions of MNOC. We seek to have Olympic winners and world champions in some kinds of sport that have been developed well in Mongolia. The shortest way to achieve the goal is to study from Mongolia and exchange mutual experiences. I hope that the bilateral cooperation of our two countries will result successful.”
MNOC President D. Zagdsuren said, “One of our priorities is to develop olympism in the country, cooperate with world’s leading countries in sports and to share experiences. Within a scope of this purpose, we have signed the MoU with Ukraine’s National Olympic Committee. Ukraine is doing well with its development of some kinds of sports such as athletics and pole vault, which are less developed in our country. We have a lot to study from Ukraine. We plan to train our athletes in Ukraine, invite Ukrainian coaches and conduct a joint training.”
