Significant Holidays of DPRK Observed

Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- Events were held in different countries to mark the 20th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and its 72nd founding anniversary and the 91st anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU). A seminar on respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's work and book and photo exhibition took place in Nepal, a seminar and film show in Hungary, a lecture and book exhibition in Nigeria, lectures in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Uganda and Tanzania and a film show in Slovenia between October 1 and 23. "Monument to Party Founding" and other Korean films were screened at the film shows. At the seminar on Kim Jong Un's work "The Cause of the Great Party of Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il Is Ever-Victorious", figures of Nepalese political parties and organizations praised Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for founding and developing the WPK. The general secretary of the Bangladesh People's League highly praised Kim Il Sung for forming the DIU and providing the historical root of the WPK. A vice-chairman of the Tanzanian National Coordinating Committee of the Juche Idea Study Groups lauded Kim Jong Il for building the WPK into the revolutionary party of Juche type and ever-victorious iron-willed party. -0-
