CHINA'S GROUP IS READY TO COLLABORATE WITH UB IN BUILDING NEW STADIUM

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city S.Batbold put forward a proposal to build a new stadium in Ulaanbaatar to the China’s Chengdu Construction Group, during a meeting with a delegation headed by Li Jiang Sun, the Group’s President, on November 7. “With population of 1.3 million people, Ulaanbaatar city needs to have a new stadium to host international competitions including the 2020 Children of Asian International Sports Games and the 2023 East Asian Youth Games, so the Ulaanbaatar Municipality must tackle an issue of constructing a stadium with 35,000 seats,” the Mayor said. In response, Li Jang Sun said the Group is ready to contribute to a development of Mongolia and to construction of the new stadium. “First of all, we will set up a working group in order to learn a feasibility of building a new stadium in Ulaanbaatar. This matter is expected to be finalized after holding an official meeting,” he said. Founded in 1952, the Chengdu Construction Group’s business is directed at investments and doing constructions. The Group’s one of the most famous construction works is the Bird’s Nest Stadium for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
