CITY AUTHORITIES MEET AIR-PURIFIER IMPORTERS

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ During the Cabinet meeting on December 1, the National Committee on reducing environmental pollution made a decision to allocate MNT3 billion from Government’s budget and MNT1 billion from the budget of capital city to supply air purifiers to all classrooms of general educational schools and kindergartens and children’s wards of hospitals in Ulaanbaatar city. Following the duties given by the National Committee, S. Batbold, Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city, S. Amarsaikhan, head of the Citizens’ Representative Khural of Ulaanbaatar city, J. Bayasgalan, deputy governor in charge of green development and air pollution, and other officials met with representatives of about 20 companies that import air- purifiers. They got familiar with the state-of-the-art technological air purifiers that the companies sell in the market. S.Batbold said that about 5600 air purifiers are required to be installed in all classrooms of schools and kindergartens and hospital wards for children and open tender will be announced through mass media.
