FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTER ATTENDS 24TH OSCE MINISTERIAL COUNCIL MEETING

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Foreign Affairs Minister D. Tsogtbaatar is taking part in the 24th OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Vienna, Austria on December 7-8. The Ministerial Council is the central decision-making and governing body of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). The meeting, held annually, provides the Foreign Ministers of the 57 OSCE participating States and 11 partnering States an opportunity to review and assess the Organization’s activities and strengthen the dialogue on security issues in the OSCE area. D. Tsogtbaatar gave a speech at the plenary session on December 7, expressing Mongolia’s position on conflicts arisen in international arena. Moreover, he stressed that it has been groundless and regretful step to involve Mongolia in the blacklist of tax havens. During the event, D. Tsogtbaatar intends to meet with Foreign Affairs Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Hungary and Russia, deputy Foreign Ministers of Austria and Romania, Secretary General of OSCE and Director-General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.
