UAE's Permanent Representative at UN Office at Geneva meets UNDP official
Geneva, Feb 24, 2009 (WAM) - UAE's Permanent Representative at UN Office at Geneva Obeid Salem Al Zaabi received yesterday Director of UNDP- Geneva, Cecile Molinier and a delegation accompanying her.
During the meeting they discussed plans for organising a friendly football match in one of the Gulf countries to generate revenue to support the Millennium Development Goals (MDG).
World's top football stars will participate in the seventh edition of the 'Match Against Poverty', which was launched since 2003.
The UNDP official hailed the major humanitarian role of UAE on global level and its generous support to various UN agencies.
