FIRST TEST FLIGHTS AT NEW AIRPORT TAKE PLACE

Image Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ The first test flights were carried out on December 12-16 at Khushig Valley International Airport of Ulaanbaatar that is currently under construction. A Cessna 208 (JU-9993) aircraft owned by ‘Geosan’ LLC was used for the test flight, along with presence of engineering specialists from the Civil Aviation Authority and Norwegian air traffic control systems leader INDRA NAVIA AS. The test flights were conducted in accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organization’s DOC 8071 volume, chapter I, paragraphs III-IV, CAT-1 requirements. It enables safe landing of aircrafts with help of NORMARC 7000B Instrument Landing System and LDB-103 distance measurement equipment.
