AMENDMENTS TO MINING LAW PRESENTED TO AMBASSADORS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Members of parliament’s lobby group for responsible mining received foreign Ambassadors to Mongolia on December 19. Namely, lawmakers A.Undraa and N.Amarzaya met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Mongolia John Langtry, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Mongolia David Sproule, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Ulaanbaatar Manual Micaller and Deputy Head of Mission of Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Iain Cox. At the meeting, MP A.Undraa informed the ambassadors of amendments made to the law on mining and tax. She deliberated on new opportunities for foreign investors’ emerged owing to those amendments.
