MEAT PROCESSING PLANT PUT INTO OPERATION IN DARKHAN-UUL PROVINCE

Darkhan-Uul /MONTSAME/ ‘Darkhan Erdene’ a meat processing plant has been put into operation in Darkhan-Uul aimag on December 25. The plant has a capacity to slaughter 100 head of large cattle and 500 head of sheep and goats a day and also it has rooms for boniing, cooling and freezing deeply and a storehouse to reserve meat. 40 workers are employed at the plant. People will have more opportunity to use healthy food in consumption as commissioning the plant at this time when food security is being more concerned due to the population density, emphasized S.Nasanbat, Governor of Darkahn-Uul province during the inauguration. The meat processing plant has been establsihed within the framework of the aimag Governor’s action plan to strengthen state and private sector’s cooperation through buying livestock from herders and supply to the market and establsihing processing plants to increase jobs.
