MINISTER S.CHINZORIG PAID WORKING VISIT TO JAPAN

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Labor and Social Protection S.Chinzorig paid working visit in Japan on December 20-22. The purpose of the Minister’s visit was to establish memorandum of understanding in frames of skills Training program to be jointly implemented with Japan. According to statistics by the Japanese Ministry of Justice, Mongolia has been written in the 8th place by its number of trainees. The memorandum signing ceremony was held on December 21 in the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan and the memorandum was signed by S.Chinzorig, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Mongolia and Katsunobu Kato, Japanese Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare. During the ceremony the Ministers exchanged views on the Skills Trainee program and further bilateral cooperation. Minister S.Chinzorig noted that effective collaboration of the two countires in sending Mongolian trainees to Japan over the last 20 years supports development of Mongolia as many Mongolian youths have been trained in high technology and improved their professional skills. The Minister also mentioned that the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Mongolia is working to regulate demand and supply of labor market by training youths in foreign developed countries, improving knowledge and professional skills of the population and to renew legal environment. Mr. Katsunobu Kato said trainee sender organization should be confirmed after the establishment of memorandum and he pointed out creating mechanism to constantly exchange views will strengthen the bilateral cooperation. Moreover Minister S.Chinzorig made several proposals including widiening the cooperation in social protection sector of the two countries and protecting rights of Mongolian people who are living and working in Japan.
