Nordic Political Parties, Bodies Meet to Celebrate DPRK's Events

Pyongyang, January 3 (KCNA) -- A meeting of Nordic progressive political parties and friendly organizations took place in Stockholm of Sweden on Dec. 23 last year to celebrate the 26th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army, the 6th anniversary of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's assumption of KPA supreme commandership and the 100th birth anniversary of the anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk. Speeches were made at the meeting. The chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association said: The DPRK is standing firm against the unprecedented pressure and sanctions of the U.S. imperialists by increasing its political and military might in every way. The struggle of the Korean people to build a powerful socialist country under the leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un are greatly encouraging the world progressive people. The friends of the DPRK are glad to see the successes being registered by the Korean people, and extend full support and solidarity to them. A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting. -0-
