National Guard key partner in defending nation

Manama, Jan. 6 (BNA): Commissioned by the late Amir, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, Lieutenant-General HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa started laying down the first bricks of the National Guard in 1997, and since then it has grown into a military monument and an essential security pillar in the kingdom. The National Guard Commander has always asserted that such a national monument is making steady strides in accordance with the visions of the Supreme Commander towards military, training and administrative development through its strategic plan 2020. The National Guard is a military depth for the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) and a security shield for the Public Security Forces, so it is responsible for protecting the security of the Kingdom through its internal security operations, defending the homeland and ensuring the security of its borders against all dangers. Therefore, the National Guard forces perform their tasks with readiness and high efficiency, using a modern system that enables them to protect national security stability. In fact, the readiness inspection, carried out under the directives Commander, Lieutenant-General HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of Staff-Director Major-General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, has proved the vigilance of the National Guard’s servicemen, which has made this national military monument a major partner in defending the nation, given the constant readiness of its brave personnel to make all sacrifices for the sake of the homeland. The National Guard knights embody the principles of cohesion and cooperation through their constant participation in social events in line with the directives of the National Guard Commander, including the National Guard camp that embraces all social segments, the “Dar Al-Ezz” (House of Glory) festival aimed at strengthening the feelings of loyalty to the nation and the leadership, the blood donation campaigns, the fasters’ ‘breakfast’ during the holy month of Ramadan, and the hosting of the students of summer camp of the Royal Academy of Police. The brave National Guard personnel have attained landmark achievements at local and international sports gatherings thanks to the unlimited support of the National Guard Commander, constant follow-up of National Guard Staff Director and the interest of the Special Operation Commander, Major HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa.
